This summer, our class learned about Mr. Putter and Tabby story. The first story was Mr. Putter and Tabby Pour the tea. I saw the picture of the story book. There was a big beautiful dream house and a lot of flower around in the garden, but Mr. Putter only lived alone. He was very sad. He found a fine cat. He named her Tabby. They lived together and enjoyed their lives.
Next story was Mr. Putter and Tabby Fly the plane, See the stars, Walk the dog, Paint the porch, Row the boat… The author Cynthia Rylant makes the readers remember when they were kids. They dreamed about toys. They wanted to live in a house with flowers in the garden; little animals like rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks; little pets like the cat Tabby and the dog Zeke; trees like elm, pear, pine, apple; children’s food like popovers, popcorn and chocolate, pudding, Frosty Freeze, hot fudge sundae with cherries, etc. The author created good neighborhoods. Mrs. Teaberry and Mr. Putter live together friendly and take care of each other. Many Cynthia Rylant’s stories make readers happy, remind them of their childhood and create warm feeling lives. Rylant’s readers like them.a
If I were to meet Cynthia Rylant, I would ask her which animal, flower and food do you like the most.
Good writing, Dung.
ReplyDeleteWE MISSED YOU THIS WEEK!! Every day, I looked around: No Dung! I hope the course you took was very interesting.
For our last class, we didn't have a potluck because many students are fasting for ramadan. Instead we watched a funny movie together, "Cats and Dogs."
Have a great break - keep working on your English!
